Hon. Frank Yeboah Lauded by Market Traders for Launching GH¢1,000 Interest-Free Loan Scheme

Joy and appreciation filled the air at the Atwima Koforidua Market Square as market men and women showered praises on the Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya North, Hon. Frank Yeboah, for launching an interest-free loan scheme to support small traders.

The initiative, named “Adwadifuo Anidaso” or Hope for Traders, is aimed at boosting the operations of market traders by providing them with interest-free financial support. At the official launch, twenty women each received GH¢1,000, totaling GH¢20,000 in disbursements under the first phase of the scheme.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Yeboah said the loan initiative is a revolving fund that will offer continuous support to traders, especially women, in all parts of the constituency.

“This support will go a long way to strengthen the businesses of our traders,” he said. “They will repay GH¢50 every week, and once the loan is fully repaid, they will qualify for a higher amount – even GH¢2,000 or more before the end of the year.”

He stressed that the initiative is not a one-off gesture but a long-term intervention. As repayments are made, the funds will be recycled to reach more traders across the constituency.

“We want every trader to benefit. This is a rolling program, and no one will be left out,” the MP assured.

The beneficiaries were full of praise for the MP, describing the gesture as a life-changing intervention that will help them keep their businesses afloat and meet the needs of their families.

“We are grateful to Hon. Frank Yeboah. This is the first time we’ve received such support from an MP. It will help us restock and grow our businesses,” a beneficiary stated.

Hon. Yeboah encouraged the beneficiaries to be disciplined and responsible in managing the funds. He also advised them to repay on time so others can benefit as well.

The Adwadifuo Anidaso initiative forms part of the MP’s broader vision to reduce poverty, promote financial independence, and enhance the livelihoods of constituents through practical, grassroots economic support.
