Black Restoration Foundation, Paul Bogle Foundation, Jamaica and Cultural Black Restoration Foundation Ghana to commemorate ‘Fire- Baptism 21’

 

The Black Restoration Foundation Netherlands in partnership with Paul Bogle Foundation, Jamaica, and Cultural Black Restoration Foundation Ghana in collaboration with Manhhyia Palace are set to mark what is called “The Fire- Baptism 21” this October in Kumasi.

The annual event is on the theme: “Lit/million candles to commemorate the memories of 500 Africans including Akans who died in slavery and in the struggle for black anticipation.”

The rationale behind the celebration is to honour black ancestors and welcome all Africans from the Diaspora to return home and reconnect with their ancestral spirit whiles encouraging them to settle in Ghana and Africa as a whole for the development of the black continent.

Speaking to media in a news conferencetoday in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital, Nana Oppong Dinkyine, Coordinator of Black Restoration Foundation stated that, the prestigious annual Black Restoration Foundations repatriations empowerment ceremony dubbed: The Fire- Baptism 21 would be held at the Kumasi regional house of chiefs on Sunday, October 24, 2021.

He underscored, the symposium will assist to convey a special message from the Akan victims in the Diaspora to Asantehene Otumfuor Osei Tutu II.

According to him, the NGO (Black Restoration Foundation) is seeking to uplift the culture and traditional values of Ghana and for that matter Africa across the globe.

He said it is the responsibility of his outfit to empower all blacks in the Diaspora to return home and assist in rebuilding Africa.

He believes, this year’s event which is the third of its kind will empower Ghanaians at home and Diaspora to embrace the beautiful Ghanaian culture and as well sell it abroad.
