Nana Adwoah Afranewaa III, the Manhemaa of Offinso, marked her birthday in grand style with a colorful event that drew together traditional leaders, dignitaries, and residents from all walks of life. During the celebration, held in Offinso, the queen mother took the opportunity to express her profound gratitude to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and the Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, for the immense confidence they placed in her through her election as the Manhemaa of Offinso.
In her address, Nana Adwoah Afranewaa III spoke warmly of the Asantehene’s leadership and wisdom, which continue to inspire her in her role. She described the honor of serving her people under the guidance of such revered figures within the Ashanti Kingdom as a privilege that she does not take for granted.
“I am truly blessed to have the support of His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and Her Royal Majesty, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, who have shown great confidence in me. Their encouragement and leadership serve as my guiding light, and I am committed to upholding the values and traditions of the Ashanti Kingdom,” she said.
The Offinso Manhemaa also used the occasion to pledge her commitment to working hand in hand with the Offinsomanhene, Nana Wiafe Akenten II, to ensure peace, unity, and progress in Offinso. According to her, Offinso’s development is a shared responsibility, and it is her firm resolve to work diligently with the traditional council and the people of Offinso to bring about meaningful change.
“I look forward to working closely with Nana Wiafe Akenten II and all the elders of Offinso to bring lasting peace and development to our community. Together, we can achieve great things for Offinso and ensure a prosperous future for the generations to come,” Nana Afranewaa III stated.
The celebration, which was filled with cultural displays, traditional drumming, and dancing, saw the attendance of chiefs, queen mothers, family members, and well-wishers from across the Ashanti Region. The event highlighted the rich cultural heritage of the people of Offinso, and the atmosphere was one of joy and celebration.
Nana Afranewaa III also expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the Offinsomanhene and the family head of Akokondease, as well as other traditional leaders, for their unwavering support throughout her journey. She acknowledged their vital role in her election and installation as Manhemaa and assured them of her continued dedication to her duties.
As the event drew to a close, the Manhemaa reiterated her message of unity, urging all Offinso citizens to put aside their differences and work together for the progress of their beloved community.
