A Five -year-old girl has reportedly die after she was swept away by flash floods at Moshie Zongo in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti
According to residents in the area, the deceased, whose name is yet to be found was carried away by floods after a heavy downpour on Tuesday September 12, 2023.
The girl, a student of Ethiopia International School at Pankrono Estate was seen floating in a drain after the heavy downpour.
Nana Adu, a resident in the area said the girl had closed from school and was on her way home when the incident happened.
“We do not know the circumstances leading to her drowning, all we saw was her lifeless body floating in the drain in tarted school uniform”.
“We rushed to pick her up, but she was confirmed dead by health professionals at a nearby hospital “
