KNUST Basic schools Have Closed Down Indefinitely

The industrial strike action by the Senior Staff Association of universities of Ghana has compelled the management of the University shutdown it’s basic schools.

It would be recalled that the Senior Staff Association of universities of Ghana refused to call of the strike action after Organised Labour reached the 15% COLA agreement with government.

The Association noted that the leadership of Organised Labour betrayed them as the agreed that the COLA was going to be 20% and nothing else. They also established that the have other unfair salary issues they have to pursue despite the COLA.

Latest development from KNUST in a letter signed on behalf of the Registrar by Mrs Margaret Dzisi noted that following the declaration of industrial strike by the senior staff Association of universities of Ghana, management is writing on behalf of the registrar to inform the University community and the general public that the KNUST Basic Schools is being closed down effective 21st July 2022 until further notice.
