Justice Kofi Akrowiah, Supervising High Court Judge Kumasi.
Justice Kofi Akrowiah, Supervising High Court Judge in Kumasi has admonished Ghanaians to report Judges to the appropriate complain department if found not working in accordance with the law.
According to him, Judges are also humans and that if they pass judgement contrary to the law, there is a procedure to file a petition against that judge instead of going about and reporting judges on radio or television. He said going to radio stations to report such judges to tarnish their image is a threat to the Judicial system of this country.
Speaking in an interview with the media after an induction ceremony for First Year Professional Law Students at the Ghana School of Law, ICIL, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), he said speaking against Judges on radio cause a disrepute to the name of all Judges and “where there is no law, there will be an anarchy so Ghanaians should also pass through the right procedure in reporting Judges when they go wayward.
However, Speaking in an interview with some first year law students, they promised to study hard as the nature of their course right from faculty of law at the University and passing to the law school itself is not a child play.
They promised to portray deserving characters that honour the profession.
