I will not entertain lazy contractors in my constituency- MP warns

The MP for Nsuta, Kwamang, Beposo Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Adelaide Ntim has warned contractors working on some road projects awarded for contract in the constituency, against shoddy and delaying work delivery, although they are to speed work within agreed schedules.

During a working visit to 5km road, constructing from Beposo junction to Nkubemu, and donation of items to over 100 artisans, the member of parliament revealed that she promised to provide accessible and durable road network for the communities facing challenges when campaigning in the 2020 election, this is one of her promise being delivering to constituent.

Upon visiting the ongoing construction road site, she revealed that, she is much impressed about how fast the project is moving, because provision of bridges and grading has been in place to temporarily enable the accessibility of commuters.

According to her, most of the communities are complaining about some shoddy works which was begin by her predecessor but couldn’t done it to perfection due to bad contractors it was awarded to and poor supervision from the authorities.

I had the feeling to furnish my constituent with good road network especially Dumase road, way back 2 years ago when I was not intended to become MP, but the former MP hurly send contractors to some of the area upon having the information of my willingness, and was not able to do the work, due to dirty politics, which has created another problem for the residents on their daily routines

In my administration as MP for the constituency,I will only deal with serious and hard working contractors, laziness and shoddy works will not be allowed to avoid the unnecessary squandering of money without results.

Hon. Adelaide Ntim however explained, the motive of distribution sewing machines and hand dryers to artisans found in the constituency.

Some of the commuters plying through the ongoing road project spoke to media on how the intervention of Hon. Adelaide has help them.
