How GRA took 10% from the Contractor of Kanda Office, Indian Influence & More — Ken Agyapong Reveals

The Ghana Revenue Authority(GRA) under Rev. Ammishaddai Owusu and Customs, Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS) under Seidu Iddrisu Iddisah and his men have been accused of selling the entity to Indians and taking kickbacks on contracts.

This is according to Member of Parliament(MP) for Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong who is aggrieved about the use of GRA as a tool to witchhunt him.

According to the outspoken Lawmaker, there is a building project at Kanda in Accra where he knows on Authority the Contractor was charged 10% upfront by the GRA.

Seidu Iddrisu Iddisah, Customs Commissioner was also accused of being remote-controlled by foreigners.

Mr. Kennedy Agyapong dropped the bombshell remark on Sompa FM in the Ashanti Region.

“If we allow these things to go on, there is no future for any young man. We are here, an Indian is able to call Custom Commissioner. I don’t even know Custom Commissioner’s numbers and I don’t want to know because I do the right thing.” He added.

“They (GRA) have an office complex they’re building at Kanda. Contractors charge them 10%. Ghana Revenue people, what I will do to them” he threatened.

The Commissioner General of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Colonel Kwadwo Damoah (rtd) was relieved of his position in August following an investigation by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) on his leadership.

In came Seidu Iddrisu Iddisah who was recruited into customs in 1990) as Acting Commissioner, to pick up the pieces from where Col. Damoah left off. Seidu had worked at the Wa collection, later at Tema Collection (car park, long room, specializing in Asycuda/computer system, examination and valuation.
