The legend Frankie Taylor, aka Maapao in the media space and entertainment industry, a multi award winner as movie actor , philanthropist and Radio presenter of Kumasi local based Fox 97.7 FM has been honoured for his excellent contribution towards the development of the media and entertainment industry in the Country.
The African Express Show Host on Fox FM who has almost twenty -three years experience in radio was recognized by Angel afternoon drive family.
Angel afternoon drive is an entertainment programme hosted by Nana Obiri Yeboah, popularly known as Ike the Unpredictable ,a famous Radio Presenter at Angel FM in Kumasi,the Ashanti Regional Capital.
Mr. Frankie Taylor, Ashanti Regional Radio/TV Personality (RTP) of the year 2021 was honoured for his dedication and contribution to the media in the Ashanti region and the country as a whole.
According to the organizers, the Legend Frankie Taylor is the only Radio Programme Manager who worked from 2001 to 2015 at Fox FM without manager’s salary, allowance and logistics, while the station was the first in the Ashanti Region.
Legend Frankie Taylor never took front money, vehicle, presenters’ apartment for the over twenty-three years he has being working at Fox FM.
Speaking on Angel drive, Ike the Unpredictable maintained that, they strongly believe in people who have made success out of hard work and indicated that honouring legend Frankie Taylor at this time of ours is in the right direction.
Franky Taylor was the 2021 Ashanti regional Radio Personality of the year by Rectitude International Mission and World Diplomatic Federation.
Mr Taylor who was surprised about the honour done him by colleague presenters from another giant Media organization in the region.
According to Ike the Unpredictable and his team, Frankie Taylor is an outstanding broadcaster, actor and movie producer who has really contributed immensely to the radio industry and for that matter, approximate to be celebrated.
In a citation of honour presented to him, it was stated that,the celebration was to also encourage ,build momentum and make the hard times feel of the presenter.
The organizers believe that, Legend Frankie Taylor’s life story is an inspiring one for every media and the entertainment industry.
Mr Franky Taylor took the opportunity to advice the up and coming journalists to always seek the face of God in line of duty, says sometimes it may seems you could do it alone but without the fear of God one can not go anywhere in the media space.
According to him, it’s tales hardworking to withstand difficulties and challenges as a media personality.
He was of the view that, whether journalism pays or not may depends on the conduct of the individual,say, journalism actually does not come with money but step to make money.
He stated that, instant money in journalism is not meant for a long term but a footprint, hence must not envy anybody, but assess yourself with your talent in addition to the knowledge would help you goes a long way.
He disclosed that, be a media, you become man of the multitude,a mirror to many people to watch and listen, but does not mean you should not venture into other businesses or job when there is opportunity.
