AMANSIE SOUTH, CHIEFS CHASE GOV’T OVER BAD ROADS.






The chiefs of Amansie south District of Ashanti have expressed their disappointment on the part of the government over their bad road network in the area. According to them the current government has disappointed them totally after the hefty promise he gave to them right from the beginning of his term in office but as at now all these promises had become failure.





Addressing the media today at Manso Mem Junction the chief of Manso Akwasiso Nana Kwakye Gyima Yeboah ll who spoke on behalf of all the traditional rulers opined that the President of the republic of Ghana Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo with less than four years under his term of office has done well for the people of Ghana especially those in Amansie South district by giving them the district but as the saying goes oliver can always ask for more there is the need for the government to fix their roads for them.









Nana Kwakye Gyima stated that since UP regime, Manso had been the strong hold of the ruling party but the road network is very terrible which we are using this medium to appeal to the president to come and rescue us from the distress.We the good people of Amansie South District had been committed to this current government since 1992 and we will continue to support the party till thy kingdom but our people too deserves the better so we are appealing to ur leadership to come to our needs, ” chief added.





Throwing more lights into their disappointment Nana Kwakye Gyima Yeboah ll indicated that due to the bad nature of their roads, robbing cases is very high in the area arm robbers are tormenting the lives of the citizens and so many people have lost their life in the hand of these arm robbers so today we are on our kneels to beg his excellence Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo to come and rescue the people of Amansie south district.









He said another big challenge is inadequate electricity power to some of their communities stressing that a lot of their communities are are not connected to the national grid and it affecting the development of the district. Our people can no more leave in darkness, enough is enough how can a district that contributes immensely for the development of this country treated like that.
He said if government fail to give attention to their road in a week time they will hit the street for a massive demonstration to register their displeasure.





He stated that Manso is one of the area that produce Gold timber and cocoa but they lack so many developmental projects which is very bad to the people within the enclave.

In conclusion the presiding member of Amansie south district Assembly who double as the Assembly man for Mem electoral area Hon. Kwabena Akuoko Kwarteng said the district is a newly created district with less than four years as it was separated from Amansie west district of Ashanti with a lot of natural resources can not be proud of a one kilometer tarred road isn’t it pitiful?. We are using this medium to send a signal to the president of the republic of Ghana including the other stakeholders of this country to give much attention to us before we register our anger, we are not joking enough of this bad treatment, Hon. Akuoko Kwarteng spit the venom contributions but it can never boast with.





He said the Ashanti regional minister Hon.Simon Osei Mensa promised to give the road to contract but for almost three months to an election the contractor is no where to be found the minister said the road from Mem junction to Agroyesum had been awarded to a contract but as at now we don’t even know the name of the contractor and even you as a media guys look at how you are suffering here but this is how our people going through.









All what we are saying is that we are pleading with the government to give us our shares of the national cake and we will continue to give him our support but if he fails then he should forget us in 2020 election we also deserve better. “He concluded”.
