Adamu Jantu, a 33 year-old-man and an electrician by profession has allegedly been shot dead by his friend popularly known as Lucky Young at Sewuah in the Bosomtwe district of the Ashanti region.
The gruesome activity according to family of the deceased took place on a plot of land belonging to the accused person.
According to mother of the deceased, Georgina Adamu, the accused person came and take her son out of the house around 3pm Sunday, May 7, 2023, to visit the accused’s plot of land only for him to return around 8pm to tell her that her son was shot dead by an unknown killer.
She said the case was immediately reported to the Kuntunase police for the arrest of Lucky Young.
She revealed that upon police interrogation, the accused person confirmed that the deceased was shot by him but the act wasn’t intentional.
The body of the deceased has, however, been deposited at the St. Michael Hospital at Pramso pending autopsy whiles the accused is in police custody assisting with investigation.
