Assin Nyabriem Residents Hail Two Businessmen for Reshaping Community Roads

Residents of Assin Nyabriem, a community in the Assin South District of the Central Region, have heaped praise on two distinguished businessmen—Mr. Collins Aboagye, popularly known as Nana Two 2, and Hon. Alex Yaw Baako of the Nabroso Group of Companies—for their pivotal role in rehabilitating the town’s deteriorated road network.

The two philanthropists undertook the reshaping of over three kilometers of severely damaged roads within the community, a project that has brought immense relief to locals who have long struggled with dusty, pothole-ridden, and muddy routes, particularly during the rainy season.

During an inspection tour of the ongoing works, the Assembly Member for the Assin Nyabriem Electoral Area, Hon. Thomas Ayensu, lauded the businessmen for their benevolence and commitment to the development of the area. He noted that their intervention had greatly improved transportation within the community, especially for farmers, traders, and schoolchildren. “I want to sincerely thank Mr. Collins Aboagye and Hon. Alex Yaw Baako for stepping in when we needed help the most. Their support has brought hope to many in this community,” Hon. Ayensu stated.

He also used the occasion to call on the two benefactors and other charitable individuals and organizations to extend further support to the town—particularly in the area of potable water, which remains a critical challenge for residents.

Some members of the community, visibly delighted by the transformation, shared their appreciation during interviews. “Before this project, commuting within the town was a nightmare, especially for the aged and pregnant women. Today, we can move freely without fear of getting stuck in the mud or battling thick dust,” a resident recounted.

The road rehabilitation effort forms part of a broader initiative by the Nabroso Group of Companies, which has been instrumental in advancing rural infrastructure in underserved communities across the region.

Residents say they are hopeful that this development marks the beginning of more collaborative efforts between the private sector and local communities to uplift livelihoods and improve social amenities in the area.
