WE EQUALLY DESERVES BETTER ROADS AS GHANAIANS.






Chiefs and people of some communities like, Abenoa, Issakura, Nyameama no_2, Attakura,Kamakama, Dawia Bosomfour and other communities in the Sekyere Afram Plains district are crying over poor road networks link from the district capital Drobonso to the community which is distorting economic activities in the community.









According to the Odikro of Abenoa, Chief Paul Brafanu,who spoke on behalf of all traditional authorities in the community at a news conference said that, several complain have lodged to their member of parliament, Hon Alex Adomako Mensah to lobby for their grievances on poor road networks in the community but for almost eight years nothing has been done about it.









He said, as part of the failure of their member of parliament, some of the traditional authorities in the community have agreed upon on conception on their recent meeting held at his palace have decided to channel their grievances through the district chief executive, Hon Joseph Owusu, Odenkyem to come into their aid as it affecting their farming activities.









When Obuoba news visited the community, our research revealed that, the community has over 3,000 people which 99% percent of them are farmers and the bad nature of the road networks is making life difficult for them even to bring their food stuffs to market.





He said, the situation is very affecting them to the state of sending their pregnant women to hospital because the drivers in the community are not interested to ply the road.









Chief Paul Brafanu said that, they will not welcome any political leaders to come to organize any political campaign in the community and even will never steps their foot to go out and vote on December 7,2020 if their grievances are not addressed.





In his part, the assembly member for Dawia electoral area, Hon Aaron Baba expressed disappointed in their member of parliament for not making any attempt to lobby through his collegues minister of roads in parliament to construct the poor nature of the road which is making life very unbearable for them in his eight years term at office.









He used the opportunity to appealed his people to vote for the one who will considered their problems and stop from being political animal for one particular party.





When speaking to the Dce, Hon Joseph Owusu, Odenkyem he said all efforts are underway for the government to respond to their grievances such as road networks, potable water, communication networks coverage to enable them promote economic activities in the district.
