Sekyere South MCE confirmed, pledges to improve agriculture and unemployment

Mr. Evans Amoh Twumasi, President’s nominee for the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) position for Sekyere South in the Ashanti Region, has been overwhelming endorsed by the 48 assembly members, securing all the votes cast, representing a unanimous 100 percent endorsement by the Assembly Members.
His confirmation marks a new chapter for the municipality, as he has pledged to drive economic transformation, particularly through agriculture, unemployment and healthcare infrastructure development.
According to him, the endorsement indicates a significant vote of confidence in his leadership and vision for the Municipal’s future.
He expressed his readiness to champion upon the improvement of agriculture practices, better healthcare facilities, and overall community empowerment in order to alleviate poverty.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Twumasi expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC government for their trust in him.
He promised to serve the Municipal diligently and support the party’s agenda to drive development in Sekyere South municipality.
The MCE continued to extend heartfelt appreciation to the national, regional, constituency executives, Ashanti Regional Minister and the assembly members for the confidence reposed in him.
He assured them of his commitment and dedication towards the resetting agenda and the fulfilment of the aspirations of the people. He stated.
The Presiding member for the Sekyere South Municipal Assembly, Hon Peprah Harford underscores the readiness to support the new Municipal Chief Executive to fight for one common goal.
Hon Hayford then urged the the new MCE to accord members of the assembly the respect and recognition they deserve.
