Let’s break political bias against women-Ahafo Ano North MCE appeals

 

The municipal chief executive for Ahafo Ano North municipal of Ashanti region, Hon Martina Appiah Nyantakyi has encouraged her fellow Ghanaian women not to allow intimidation and frustration stop them from their political ambitions and rather join force in champion for the development of the country.

She however appealed to political leaders especially the men to embrace gender equity and equality through financial support to some women with political ambitions as means to help break bias against women in politics.

Hon. Martina Appiah Nyantakyi was speaking to Newsmen during the celebration of International Women’s day under the theme: “Embrace Equity”

She used the opportunity to commended some key personalities like the first and second ladies, Mrs Rebecca Akuffo,Mrs Samira Bawumia, the wife of His Royal majesty Otumfuo,Lady Julia Osei Tutu, Madam Akosua Frema Opare, female MPs, and MMDCES and other women for their immense contributions to nation building.

She however used the occasion to advised the young ladies in the country to make good use of free senior high school program introduced by president Akuffo Addo government to prepare themselves for better future.
