One of NPP finest IT Expect,who is also a true son of Atwima Twedie and Ahenema Kokoben in the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency, Paul Kwaku Kyei Ofori, has filed his nomination to contest the upcoming parliamentary primaries of the NPP scheduled for 27th January 2024.
Mr. Kwaku Kyei, an Information and Communication Technology expert, did the submission of his forms at the Party’s office at Twedie on Monday, 25th December 2023 at about 12:15pm.
A collosal number of party delegates and grassroot members of the Elephant Party, jammed the forecourt of the constituency party office to witness the filing.
Constituency Secretary, Richard Nana Sarpong, who received the forms on behalf of the party, made certification that the aspirant had fulfiled all requirements and was therefore qualified to hit the ground running.
The Secretary after receiving the forms remarked that, Mr Paul Kwaku Kyei Ofori has with consistency paid his dues and has done much for the Party and Atwima Kwanwoma constituency at large.
He expressed optimism that the calm weather that turned up as he filed his nomination was a sign of victory for the aspirant and that NPP’s breaking the 8 agenda would be a possibility.
He again advised him to ensure insult free campaign.
Party council of elders chairman Hon. Emmanuel Owusu also added that Mr. Kwaku Kyei has been a good standing member of NPP and that his support for the party transcends the boundaries of the constituency.
He admonished him to exercise courage in his quest and avoid being complacent by the weight of political support received from his followers.
Still at the Party office, the aspirant pledged to ensure that manners related to peace would be adhered to by him throughout his campaign.
He also pledged to exercise a hightened level of commitment with all humility to help break the 8 for the New Patriotic Party.
According to him, “creating more jobs and making Atwima Kwanwoma enclaves, a hub of ginger production is my major priorities”
Mr Kwaku Kyei Ofori, mentioned that if voted for as the parliamentary aspirant and ultimately MP, he will make sure that Atwima Kwanwoma constituency taps much developmental support from the NPP and is offered their befitting share of the national cake.
