The Nasara Wing of the Manso Nkwanta Constituency(MNC) of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was inaugurated yesterday with a fund raising at Pakyi No.1 Zongo in the Amansie West District of Ashanti.

The event was organized by the Constituency Nasara Co-ordinator, Alhaji Abdul Malik Anokye and his deputy Alhaji Sani Ibrahim under the auspices of the Constituency secretariat.

The occasion was to formally outdoor, resource and encourage members to step up efforts to accomplish their mandate of canvassing for votes for the party to win the December 7, 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.

The colourful ceremony attracted large party faithfuls and included the Parliamentary Candidate (PC), Mr George Obeng Takyi, identifiable wings, past and present executives, Polling Station Executives, patrons, a Former MP and sympathisers from across the constituency and region.

Addressing the gathering, the PC Mr George Obeng Takyi stated that a  victory for the NPP in the upcoming elections would consolidate the gains made and further chart a brighter course for generational successes and improved welfare of the citizenry.  The PC said the Free SHS policy is a novelty that offers Ghanaian students equal opportunity and access to secondary education regardless of ones financial background and status in society and whether a school was categorized as endowed or less endowed.

Mr. George Obeng Takyi  further stated that Free SHS was a poverty reduction  and a social intervention policy meant to alleviate hardship and put money into people’s pocket for the huge savings made for not paying school fees.

Additionally, the PC  indicated that policies such as the “one ambulance per constituency” and “one million dollars per constituency” had nationalistic  and  universal character, content, orientation and appeal . Mr. Obeng Takyi charged polling agents to be committed, resolute and vigilant on the D-Day to counteract electoral malpractices and fraud to ensure victory for the party.

On his part, the Ashanti Regional NASARA Co-ordinator, Alhaji Salim Bamba commended the President, Nana Akufo Addo for creating the Ministry of Inner City and Zongo Development and the Zongo Development Fund and appointing Muslims to head the institutions in question.

The multilingual co-ordinator added that Zongos preferred uninterrupted power supply to DUMSOR , efficient health care delivery to Okada and mortuaries , paying of allowances to Arabic instructors to cancellation of the said allowances and Free SHS as a measure for enlightenment,   liberation and progress to ignorance, under deprivation and under development. He urged members of the Zongo community to vote massively for the NPP on December 7.

The event also witnessed the recital of verses from the Qur’an by young Islamic students and presentation of citations to individuals for their divers and invaluable contributions to the activities and development of the Nasara Wing in the constituency
