Man Arrested for stealing Slippers and sandals worth about 500 Ghanaian Cedis

A man by name Eric Vincent has been put into police custody for stealing slippers around Hohoe circuit court

Vincent is a man who is about 22 years of age and an electrician by profession was put into police custody for stealing about 20 slippers and 6 sandals. Vincent denied all claims and is set to reappear to court on the 9th of November 2022

Cheif Inspector Charles Aziati told the court that Eric Vincent was not an electrician as he said but rather he was a trader and a resident of hohoe Zongo

The chief inspector Charles Aziati siad the victim of the theft sent some money to the daughter in Nima to purchase some footwear for her which was delivered through a driver who is a witness in this case.

He said after the arrival at he station and as the goods were being discharged Vincent was seen around close to the goods and suddenly the goods disappeared with Vincent no where to be found

The driver became suspicious that it could have been Vincent who has stolen the goods

The Chief Inspector said on the 24th of October, Vincent was seen offering some of the stolen footwear for sale the victim of the theft then reported him and he was arrested by the police
