In a proactive effort to support local education, Hon Maxwell Amponsah Duffour , the Assembly Member for Kumawu Woraso electoral area , has launched extra classes for Junior High School (JHS) students during their vacation period.
The extra classes will provide academic enrichment in essential subjects such as mathematics, science, and English. The sessions will be held at woraso Presbyterian JHS and are designed to help students consolidate their learning and prepare for the upcoming school year.
“The vacation period is an ideal time to offer additional support to our students,” said Assembly Member’s Hon Maxwell Ofosu Duffour. organizing these extra classes, we aim to give our JHS pupils a head start and ensure they are well-prepared for their future academic challenges.”
The Assembly Member for the Woraso electoral area, Hon. Maxwell Amponsah Duffuor, has urgently called on education stakeholders to assist with the construction of a teachers’ bungalow.
Hon. Maxwell Amponsah Duffuor highlighted that the lack of adequate accommodation for teachers is severely affecting teaching and learning in the area. He expressed concern that the quality of final examination results could deteriorate if immediate action is not taken by philanthropists and authorities.
The Assembly Member made this appeal publicly after he personally organized a free vacation class for students in the area, demonstrating his commitment to their education.
Teachers and students, who have greatly benefited from the vacation classes, have expressed their deep appreciation to Hon. Duffuor for his dedication and efforts. Their gratitude reflects the community’s urgent need for improved housing for educators to support better educational outcomes.
