Ex-Military Officer Found Dead in His Room at Gomoa Nyanyano Kakraba

Fiifi Down, a quiet suburb of Nyanyano Kakraba in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region, has been thrown into a state of shock following the discovery of the lifeless body of an ex-military officer in his own home.
The deceased, believed to be in his early 50s and popularly known in the community as Warrant Officer (W.O), was found naked in the hall of his residence after neighbours detected a strong stench emanating from the building. Alarmed by the odour, some residents quickly alerted the police.
According to police sources, a distress call was received from the neighbourhood on the unfortunate incident, prompting a swift response by officers from the Central East Regional Police Command. Upon arrival, they confirmed the death and immediately secured the scene.
Environmental Health Officers from the Gomoa East District Assembly were called in to fumigate the house due to the decomposed state of the body. The remains were later conveyed to the Police Hospital morgue in Accra by a joint team of police and military personnel for preservation and autopsy.
While the cause of death remains unclear, authorities have begun investigations to unravel the circumstances leading to the demise of the ex-military officer. His sudden death has left many residents in sorrow, as he was known to be a reserved but respected figure in the community.
