18-year-old hangs self to death in Zombo

Police in Zombo district have started an investigation into a case in which Brian Jawiambe 18, was found hanging dead by locals on an Avocado tree in Olamkuli cell Zombo town council Zombo district on the 27th of May. #WhisperEyeNews

Jimmy Kisa, The LC 1 chairperson of Olamkuli cell upon receiving and witnessing the deceased body informed police of Zombo police cell who later forwarded the issue to Paidha Central police station who rushed to the scene to kick start an immediate police investigation into the matter.

The deputy CID Paidha Central police station ASP Julius Masendi who headed officers from Paidha to the crime scene condemned the incident before noting that one suspect had been apprehended to help in the investigation of the matter.

One person from the same village was immediately arrested after Jimmy Kisa, the LC 1 chairperson had revealed that he had a misunderstanding with the deceased just yesterday.

Recently, a suspect reportedly committed suicide in the Zombo police cell in Zombo district sparking mixed reactions amongst members of the public.

The body of the deceased was conveyed to Nyapea Hospital for autopsy.

This comes two days after two people were murdered in Labora village Otheko Parish Paidha Sub-county on allegation of theft, an incident that left 196 residents homeless after their village was attacked and burnt down by the relative of the deceased who claim their children were killed innocently.
