Encourage pupils to develop reading habit – CEO urges public school teachers

The Chief Executive Officer CEO of “The World Tour Entertainment”,Nana Kwaku Atwere has urged public school teachers to encourage their pupils to develop the habit of reading.

Speaking to brightwebtv news reporter, Sarkodie Samuel at the read and win competition which was organized for lower primary schools under the auspices of the Asokwa Municipal Education Directorate on December 20,2023, Mr Atwere noted that the reading skills of every child enhances the knowledge.

The CEO also indicated that, competitions of this nature will put pupils on their toes to study hard in order to be great people in the near future and also brush off the perception that pupils in public schools are academically weak.

He use the opportunity to also advise the girl child to make sure that they try as much as possible to excel in their academic lives as all three finalists of the competition were boys, also entreating parents to make sure their female child receive equal attention just as the male child when it comes to studies.

 

Mr. Awere further acknowledged Atonsu Hene for given them the opportunity to hold such educative program on his land and also appreciated Time Herbal Center, Atwima Kwawoma Rural Bank and Akrofrom Rural Bank which were companies who sponsored such an initiative.

He therefore called on stakeholders to help carry out such initiative for the betterment of the country.

In other words,Nana Kwaku Atwere stated that he is hoping and looking forward to organize this kind of competition in at least every six months in order to improve the reading standard of pupils especially in the public schools.
