A group of Youth wing in the Amansie west and south district of Ashanti region are pleading with the management of Asanko Gold Ghana Ltd.to the incident happened on the 20th October 2021, which led to unintentionally destruction of some properties belongs to the company.
It maintained that, upon the occurances of the demonstration the company lodged complaints to the police department on the destruction of it properties during the their demonstration by indigenes of Asanko’s operations area.
Moreover, the police department instituted court action against the youth which led to summons of four (4) of the leaders of the demonstrators.
At a press conference held today, the leader of the group, Kyei Baffour used the opportunity to appealed to the management of Asanko Gold Ghana Ltd to aid in redrawal of the case in court for it to be addressed.
He however appealed with the management of the company to always considered the indigenes of the two district when recruiting human resources.
