In a proactive move to safeguard the welfare of students and improve school infrastructure, the Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya South, Hon. Shirley Kyei, has donated 100 bags of cement and 1 tonne of iron rods to Nkawie Senior High Technical School (Nkawie SHTS) to help reconstruct a portion of the school’s perimeter wall that collapsed over a year ago.
The donation ceremony, held on the school premises, brought together traditional leaders, school authorities, and community members, all of whom expressed deep appreciation for the MP’s timely intervention.

She also encouraged the students to remain disciplined and focused on their studies, assuring them of her continuous support. “The government, traditional leaders, and parents are playing their parts. I urge you all to study hard and aim for excellence. Education remains the key to unlocking your potential,” she added.
Headmaster of Nkawie SHTS, Mr. John Mensah, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the MP, indicating that the donation would go a long way in improving campus security and restoring the school’s integrity. He appealed for further support from other stakeholders to enhance teaching and learning at the school.
The intervention is part of Hon. Shirley Kyei’s broader agenda to promote quality education, youth development, and community safety. Her efforts have been widely recognized within the constituency, with many describing her as a results-oriented leader who prioritizes the needs of her people.
This donation not only addresses an immediate infrastructural need but also symbolizes a collaborative spirit between the government, traditional leadership, and local communities in supporting education.
