Asokore Rural Bank PLC Honours Two Staff for 20 Years of Service; Recognizes Three Mobile Bankers for Outstanding Field Performance

Asokore Rural Bank PLC, a leading rural financial institution in the Ashanti Region, has celebrated two of its longest-serving employees and three top-performing mobile bankers for their exceptional dedication and contribution to the Bank’s growth. The recognition ceremony took place during the Bank’s 38th Annual General Meeting (AGM), held at the Asokore Methodist Church in the Sekyere East District.
The event drew shareholders, customers, regulators, traditional authorities, and other stakeholders who gathered to celebrate the commitment of staff members who have played key roles in the Bank’s development.

Two staff members were celebrated for their twenty years of loyal service to the Bank. They were Mr. Kennedy Afriyie, Chief Security Officer at the Head Office, and Ms. Mariama Bello, Assistant Principal Messenger at the Effiduasi Branch. Both received citations of honour in recognition of their unwavering dedication and remarkable contribution to the Bank’s progress. Presenting the awards, Board Chairman Mr. Agyabeng Owusu praised the duo for their years of loyal service and professionalism, describing them as shining examples of commitment and perseverance. He said their long service was a testament to their dedication, integrity, and hard work, all of which have played a crucial role in shaping the history of the Bank.

In addition to honouring the two staff members, the Bank recognized three exceptional mobile bankers for their outstanding performance in extending financial services to customers and supporting the Bank’s growth. Emmanuel Frimpong from the Sokoban Branch was recognized as the top-performing mobile banker, followed by Diana Abu Dankwah, also of the Sokoban Branch, and Belinda Konadu Yiadom from the Ejisu Branch. All three were presented with citations of recognition for their efforts in promoting financial inclusion and strengthening the Bank’s connection with the communities it serves.

The awards ceremony formed part of an AGM that also highlighted the Bank’s significant achievements in 2024. Asokore Rural Bank recorded a profit after tax of GH¢2,780,831.00, marking an impressive turnaround of 180.16 percent compared to a loss of GH¢992,604.00 in 2023. The Bank’s total assets and shareholders’ funds also saw remarkable growth over the period, a reflection of strong leadership, prudent management decisions, and the dedication of staff.

In his remarks, Mr. Owusu emphasized that the recognition of long-serving and outstanding staff was central to the Bank’s values. He noted that Asokore Rural Bank’s progress over the years has been driven by the passion, loyalty, and professionalism of its employees, and said it was important to celebrate the individuals who make a lasting impact. He further extended appreciation to shareholders, customers, regulators, community leaders, and all stakeholders, including the Bank of Ghana, ARB Apex Bank, and the Association of Rural Banks, for their unwavering support.

The AGM concluded on a high note, celebrating not only impressive financial growth but also the dedication of the workforce that powers the Bank’s operations. The recognition of these five exceptional individuals demonstrated Asokore Rural Bank’s commitment to rewarding loyalty and excellence while continuing its mission to provide quality financial services and promote development in the communities it serves.
