Following the recent rampant murder and robbery of Mobile Money vendors in the region,the Ashanti Regional Police Command has made a breakthrough in the cases of robbery and murder of two mobile money vendors in the region. Three suspects, identified as Charles Kwame Danso, Philip Foujour, and Samuel Addae Mensah, were arrested on March 21, 2025, at Pankrono and Atimatim, respectively.
The two incidents occurred on February 13, 2025, at Krofrom, where Patricia Nimako lost her life, and on March 10, 2025, at Kwadaso, where Gideon Owusu Sarpong, also known as “Junior,” was robbed and murdered.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Emmanuel Teye-Cudjoe, the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, the suspects are currently in police custody.
The Ashanti Regional Police Command is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Martin Amoah, also known as Augustine Amoah or “Baba Macho,” who is wanted in connection with a robbery and murder case. He is believed to be hiding in Kumasi, Dankwa-on-Offin, Danso near Dunkwa-on-Offin in the Central Region, or Accra.
The police are urging anyone with information about Martin Amoah’s whereabouts to contact them via the toll-free numbers 191, 112 (18555), or Telecel).
Interestingly, there is another individual named Martin Amoah, a professor who passed away in 2020. However, it’s clear that the Martin Amoah wanted by the police is a different person.
