AMANSIE SOUTH DISTRICT, DCE CUT SOD FOR CONSTRUCTION OF POLICE STATION AT MANSO NKRAN.






As part of his commitment to clamp down rampant armed robbery among other crimes in the Amansie South district in the Ashanti region, the District Chief Executive (DCE) ,Hon.Clement Opoku Gyamfi has step up efforts to help reduce the crime rate by initiating construction of a police stations in the area to increase the police presence.









Amansie South District which is one of the largest district in terms of land sizes among others with over 200 communities can only boast of police stations at Manson Adubia the district capital.
And in order to help reverse the bad trend, the DCE and the Assembly have initiated construction of a police stations to help protect their people and those who do business in the area.
The short colourful event held at Manso Nkran brought together high profile dignitaries including the traditional rulers, staff from the Asanko Mining company and the citizens within Manso Nkran enclaves.

Addressing the gathering today at Manso Nkran, the Distinct Chief Executive of Amansie South District Hon.Clement Gyamfi stated that the construction of the police station is finance by the Mining development fund which is expected to be completed within three months.









He opined that the issue of security is a share responsibility to each and every individuals in the district which he used the ceremony to appeal to all citizens especially those who are well to do to support the security services. He said the district Assembly was not happy about the numerous cases of armed robbery attacks in the area hence to ensure the safety of the people and many visitors to the area especially those within the mining communities.









The recent shooting and robbery cases in the district is very alarming and the best thing we can do is to beef up the security personals in the district and this project after completion will reduce the insecurity in the district, he said”.

He added that the leadership of His.Excellence Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo the President of this city country is poised to protect every citizen of this country and as the District chief executive, I will make sure that the vision of the president will become a reality. In conclusion Hon. Clement Gyamfi the District Chief Executive of Amansie South district appealed to the electorates to cooperate with the security personals and feed them with the necessary information for them to fish out the law breakers.









On their part, the Manso Adubia District police commander Mr. Felix Akowuah calls for the cooperation and support of the community members.
According to him, security is a shared responsibility and appeal to the citizens to help them with relevant information to ensure effective combat of crime.

Manso Adubia Divisional Commander Mr Felix Akowua on behalf of the Ghana Police service commended the government and the Amansie South District Assembly for what he called timely intervention to facilitate their operation.He said the new police station would make their operation more effective, adding that the award of contract for Manso Nkran police stations would go a long way to facilitate their operations.









The Chief of Manso Nkran Nana Danso Poku ll and his elders of Manso Nkran expressed their profound gratitude to the DCE Hon.Clement Gyamfi ,Manso Adubia District Assembly and NPP government for coming to their aid.










According to Nana Danso Poku, they have lobbied for the police station for several years but Hon.Clement Gyamfi administration under Nana Addo government have come to their aid which they pledged their unflinching support to the government and the contractor to ensure the  timely completion of the project.
