The leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Atwima Mponua Constituency also the Assembly Member for Mpasatia electoral area, Hon. Salifu Karim has said President Akuffo Addo and his vice President Dr. Bawumia has obviously confused.
President Akuffo Addo in his state of the Nation Address (SONA) on Tuesday, February 2024 clarified the roles and responsibilities of persons in his government, particularly emphasizing that he holds the ultimate responsibility for the success and consequences of every decision made.
President reacted to public criticisms that vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia cannot absorb himself of the failures of the government.
In an interview with Pressmen, the Assembly member said, Dr. Bawumia must accept the failures of this current NPP government.
The Assembly member believes that Ghanaians would be handing over power once again to President Akuffo Addo should they vote for the flagbearer of the NPP for 2024 is the same.
He explained that Dr. Bawumia has been a part of the Akuffo Addo’s government and instrumental to many if it’s decisions.
“Dr. Bawumia asking Ghanaians to endure more months of nuisance taxes while promising to remove them and decision contrary to those of this government is only flattery” Hon. Salifu Karim noted.
He insist that a vote for Bawumia is in reality just a third term for Akuffo Addo.
