The Peniel Prayer Ministry at Adankwame in the Ashanti Region, has donated items worth GH¢10,000.00 to Cherubs Children’s Home at Santasi Apire in the Kwadaso municipality.
The items donated included rice, sugar, cartons of milk, cooking oil, toiletries, assorted drinks, sardines, detergents ,salt ,garden eggs, tooth paste,brush among many others.
An amount of GHC1000 (one thousand Ghana Cedis ) was also given to sustain the Home.
The gesture according was part of corporate and social responsibilities of Mathew Quansah, the Founder and the Leader of the Peniel Prayer ministry.
Speaking exclusively to Media ,the two Associate pastors of the PENIEL Prayer Ministry ,Pastor Nicholas Abbam and Rev Shilley Frimponmaah, said they deemed it best to present these items to the needy people in the society; especially children who with no fault of theirs have found shelter and protection in recognized homes in the country.
“As we celebrate christmas festivities the best the church can do to put the smile on the faces of these children was to extend benevolence to them.
“The church found it necessary to extend a hand to our neighbours because the Bible says in James 1:27 ‘ that Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world’ “, Pastor Nicholas Abbam added.
He disclosed that Peniel Prayer Ministry sees orphans and widows as important people in the society and that, at regular intervals, they need to reach out to needy in society to make them know their worth in society.
Receiving the items, the Director of the Cherubs Children’s Home, Elder Nicholas Osei Bonsu thanked the PENIEL Prayer Ministry for their kind gesture and appealed to corporate institution’s and individuals to emulate the gesture of the church.
