NPP National Executives Support Adum Fire Victims with GHS100,000 Donation

The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has extended financial support to victims of the recent fire outbreak at Adum, Kumasi, donating GHS100,000 to help them recover from their losses.

The donation, made on Friday, March 28, 2025, was led by the party’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong. He was accompanied by other key executives, including the National Organizer, Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B), and the Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as ‘Chairman Wontumi.’

Addressing the affected traders, Mr. Kodua Frimpong expressed deep concern over the tragedy and assured them of the party’s support in these difficult times.

“This is a sad situation, and we understand the pain you are going through. This contribution is to assist you in getting back on your feet. The NPP remains committed to the welfare of Ghanaians, and we will continue to stand by you,” he said.

The fire, which broke out earlier this week, destroyed several shops, causing significant financial losses. While the exact cause of the incident is still under investigation, preliminary reports suggest an electrical fault may have triggered it.

Chairman Wontumi also pledged to work with the relevant authorities to ensure measures are put in place to prevent such disasters in the future.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the NPP’s swift intervention and called on the government and other organizations to provide further assistance.

Meanwhile, the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has begun assessing the extent of the damage to coordinate additional relief efforts for the victims.
