In a dedicated effort to enhance local education, Hon. Maxwell Amponsah Duffuor, the Assembly Member for the Kumawu Woraso electoral area, has initiated extra classes for Junior High School (JHS) students during their vacation period. This initiative aims to provide valuable academic support in critical subjects such as mathematics, science, and English.
The extra classes will be held at the Woraso Presbyterian JHS, offering students an opportunity to strengthen their knowledge and prepare effectively for the upcoming school year. “The vacation period is an ideal time to offer additional support to our students,” stated Hon. Duffuor. “By organizing these extra classes, we aim to give our JHS pupils a head start and ensure they are well-prepared for their future academic challenges.”
In addition to the educational support, Hon. Duffuor has made an urgent appeal for assistance in constructing a teachers’ bungalow in the area. He emphasized that the current lack of adequate housing for teachers is severely impacting teaching and learning. The Assembly Member expressed concern that without prompt action from philanthropists and authorities, the quality of students’ final examination results may suffer.
The appeal for teachers’ accommodation follows his commitment to local education, demonstrated by the organization of the free vacation classes.
Teachers and students have expressed their deep gratitude to Hon. Duffuor for his efforts and dedication. Their appreciation highlights the community’s pressing need for improved housing for educators, which is crucial for enhancing educational outcomes in the region.
