The Chairman of the Circle Taxi Drivers Association, Nii Ashie has decended heavily on the Vice President of Ghana, Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia for what he describes as his penchant for lies and jokes.
Speaking on Neat Fm morning show, the Chairman who was answering questions from the host, Akwasi Aboagye was very furious that leaders in this country will not cease their lying spree and that a news item circulating on various online portals which claims the Vice President met the National Taxi Drivers Association and promised them an app for their taxi operations is one of the lies that can not be ignored without a comment.
He claims there is first of all nothing like the National Taxi Drivers Association of Ghana and also the Vice President has never met any taxi drivers union to discuss any app with them.
The Chairman who was very much unhappy with how the Vice President has lied, recounted how Sammi Awuku, the boss of the National Lotteries Authority came to circles to mount a podium to assure taxi drivers that they will be given taxis for work and pay which has never seen the light of day.
Nii Ashie believes it is time leaders are told to be respectful to the ordinary citizens by telling them the truth.
