Nana Asafoatse Badu who serves as both constituency vice and chairman of NPP for 28 years has expressed interest in the first vice chairmanship of the New Patriotic party.He disclosed this in a telephone interview .kumasi
Nana ASAFOATSE Badu mentioned that,NPP wasn’t strong in the Amenfi East constituency since 1994.but since his position as constituency vice and chairman respectively of the party,NPP is now a party to reckoned with in that constituency.
Due to his good works in the Constituency the people in the Western region are rooting for him to stand for the first vice Caucus of the party to win the 2024 general elections
Nana ASAFOATSE,established that,in life,one has to climb up the ladder of life hence his decision to contest for the first vice chairmanship position of NPP in the Western region for the New patriotic party to break the eight in the 2024 general elections.
He added that,he knows the grassroots of the people and has always been with since Former president Koffour and Akuffo Addo administration at the constituency. He is determined to work hard for them to win back the lost seat for NPP to have majority in parliament come 2024.
The aspiring first vice chairman suggested that the NPP structure should be energised to enable the party last longer in power,noting that if the party’s grassroots base was rekindled and resourced,it would work to ensure the party goes beyond eight years in government.
