Gifty Abena Saahene, popular known as International Abena Saahene has donated over 250 sanitary pads to Adolescents girls in four different JHS Schools who will be writing their Basic Education Certificate Examination, starting from Monday 7th August, 2023 which forms part of her birthday celebration to the Girl Child Education
Beneficiary schools includes,Worapong D/A JHS, Worapong Islamic JHS, Adagya D/A JHS and Boahenkwaa D/A JHS in the Atwima Nwabiagya North Constituency
According to Abena Saahene, Price of Sanitary pads is more expensive which makes it difficult for some ladies to buy some when their monthly flow of blood is due.
She then urged the Government to consider reducing taxes on sanitary pads, she said.
