One person has been shot dead by armed robbers on the Manso Watreso-Datano road in the Mansie South District of the Ashanti region.
Two others have also sustained gunshot wounds and are in critical condition.
They were attacked on Monday, January 9, 2023, while on a motorcycle from Watreso heading towards Datano.
The Assembly Member for the area, Mr. Kofi Mensah told Class News’ Elisha Adarkwah that the victims were stopped by the armed robbers who had laid ambush on the road but declined to stop.
The armed robbers, however, shot at them killing one instantly while two others sustained injuries.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Agroyesum hospital morgue while the injured have been admitted at Future View Hospital.
The police in the area have commenced investigation into the incident.
