WASSA AMENFI EAST MP CUTSOD FOR 3-UNIT CLASSROOM BLOCK.

The Member of Parliament for Wassa Amenfi East Constituency, Hon. Nicholas Amankwah a.k.a Home Boy has cut sod for the construction of an 3-unit classroom for the People of Wassa Tieku community in the Western Region.

The sod-cutting ceremony formed part of activities to mark the Wassa Amenfi East member of parliament’s 3-days visit to Church’s and some selected Community’s in the constituency.

The sod-cutting ceremony which was observed on Tuesday 23, 2021 was graced by the chief and people of Wassa Tieku Community.

They could not hide their joy to terms with reality that their public school would be seen constructed for their children in their community.

Speaking to Nana Kwame Boah, the member of parliament Hon Nicholas Amankwah acknowledged that the construction of the public school will not only be a historic as his first education infrastructure project as a member of parliament but a dream come true.

“Home Boy” revealed that the 3-unit classroom block project was funded through his immense funding as a member of parliament.

The provision of the classroom block according to the MP is to help address the acute accommodation problem facing the school as a result of increased in enrolment.

The Construction of the morden public school in the community is one of its kind since the community does not have any befiting edifice built by a government.

He explained that his vision for the Wassa Amenfi East was to promote the teaching and learning for his people and would continue be his priority.

As part of his tour, he again distributed over 2,000 reusable nose masks, Veronica Buckets, Thermometer gun and hand sanitizers to some selected Basic and Junior High Schools in Wassa Amenfi East to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

He added that “he can’t sit down aloof to allow government to support our school children with nose masks but as individuals, we can also help in gesture because we need our children stay alive for they are future”.
