A Young Man by name Ganiu Bashiru has hanged himself to death in Danku Community located in the Wa Municipality.
The incident was made Known early hours of 9th January 2022 by Assembly Member of the Area, Hon. Adams Yahaya Jiga.
Speaking to the Assembly Man who is also in charge of Bamahu and Kompaala, he indicated that he was heading towards a funeral ground in Bamahu when he heard some noise from a family house, he moved closer only to realize people were crying at the top of their voices.
He made inquiries and was told a resident had committed suicide by hanging himself.
“He is called Ganui Bashiru, I was off to a funeral ground but heard people crying so I went closer to know what was happening only to find out someone had hanged himself, he was an artisan”.
The Assembly man continued that he was an artisan into building, fixing of tiles and General Mason works.
He concluded that the deceased was not suffering from any mental or known psychological illness.
“He was fine and wasn’t struggling from any health complications or mental challenges”.
In March 2020, a man committed Suicide in a uncompleted Building in Danko, this is the second of it’s kind in the area.
