US-Based Cyba Men Club Donates to Children with Special Needs at Step by Step Worldwide Ministries in Ejisu

A Ghanaian diaspora group based in Worcester, Massachusetts, in the United States of America, Cyba Men Club, has extended a heartwarming gesture of support to children with special needs at Step by Step Worldwide Ministries located at Kwaso in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The donation, which took place over the weekend, included essential food items, bottled drinking water, assorted soft drinks, and an undisclosed amount of money to support the daily upkeep and welfare of the children.

Speaking during the presentation, the President of the Cyba Men Club, Mr. Jeffrey Barimah Antwi, popularly known as “Oga,” underscored the need for society to show consistent care and love to children living with special needs and those in orphanages. According to him, the gesture forms part of the club’s humanitarian outreach aimed at giving back to the society that raised them. “We believe that children with special needs deserve every opportunity to live fulfilling lives, and it is our duty as a community—whether home or abroad—to lend our support. This is just the beginning. We hope to return with more,” he stated.

Mr. Antwi used the occasion to call on other individuals, philanthropic organizations, and the Ghanaian diaspora to also come to the aid of vulnerable children, particularly those in specialized care institutions.

Receiving the items on behalf of the facility, Madam Grace Badu, Board Secretary of Step by Step Worldwide Ministries, could not hide her appreciation for the donation, which she described as timely and impactful. “We are truly grateful to the Cyba Men Club for thinking about us and the children. These donations will go a long way to support the feeding and care of the children here,” she remarked with gratitude.

Madam Badu also used the opportunity to make a passionate appeal to the general public, benevolent institutions, and corporate bodies to partner with the ministry to enhance the quality of care they provide to children with special needs.

Step by Step Worldwide Ministries has, over the years, provided essential support services, therapy, and residential care for children with various disabilities, and relies heavily on donations and support from benevolent individuals and organizations.

The act of kindness from Cyba Men Club has not only brought smiles to the faces of the children but also reaffirmed the vital role of the Ghanaian diaspora in national development and social support systems.

The ceremony ended with prayers, interaction with the children, and a pledge by the club to maintain a lasting relationship with the ministry.
