The staff of Tepa Nursing and Midwifery Training College came together in a joyful celebration to honor their Principal, Dr. Albert Opoku, on his birthday. The heartfelt event featured the presentation of a thoughtful gift, prayers for his continued success, and gratitude for his transformational leadership at the institution.
Held at the principal’s office on the college campus, the ceremony brought together teaching and non-teaching staff in an atmosphere of camaraderie and appreciation. During the celebration, staff members lauded Dr. Opoku for his remarkable leadership, which has significantly enhanced academic performance, infrastructure development, and staff welfare at the college.
Leading the prayers, Reverend Bonaventure Williamson commended Dr. Opoku for his visionary and strategic guidance, which has set the college on a path of progress. “Your unwavering commitment and passion for this institution have inspired us all. This gift is a small token of our appreciation, and we pray for God’s blessings to grant you long life, good health, and continued success in your leadership,” he said.
Dr. Opoku, visibly touched by the gesture, expressed his gratitude to the staff for their support and encouragement. He emphasized the role of teamwork in the college’s achievements, noting that the progress made during his tenure was a result of collective effort.
“This celebration is not just about me; it is about the collective effort of all of us. I am grateful for your support and prayers, and I assure you that together, we will continue to make this college a beacon of excellence in nursing and midwifery education,” Dr. Opoku remarked.
He also used the occasion to pledge his commitment to addressing the college’s infrastructure challenges. Notably, he assured staff of his dedication to completing the ongoing classroom block project, which aims to enhance the teaching and learning environment.
“I understand the challenges posed by inadequate infrastructure, and I promise to see to the completion of the new classroom block. This will create a better learning environment for our students and support effective teaching,” Dr. Opoku assured.
The ceremony ended with the chaplain invoking divine blessings upon the principal, staff, and the institution. Special prayers were offered for Dr. Opoku’s good health, wisdom, and strength to continue leading the college toward greater heights.
