Tepa Nursing and Midwifery Training College holds orientation for the Freshers

An orientation ceremony has been held for 2023/24 Fresh students admitted to pursue nursing and Midwifery programmes at the Tepa Nursing and Midwifery Training College,

The orientation was held at the campus of the school at Tepa in the Ahafo North district of the Ashanti Region under the theme; “Independent learning skills”

Addressing the students, the Principal of the College, Dr Albert Opoku said the orientation was organized for the Freshers to themselves to acquire independent learning skills to prepared them for their private studies without much depending on their tutors.

Dr Albert Opoku stressed that Nursing and Midwifery Course was very difficult to study, hence the need to organizing the orientation for the students to prepare them for their private studies in class.

He disclosed that the College has added to their curriculum to give training to the new students to help them study assiduously to achieve their goals.

The principal also used the occasion to teach them the proper way to use the social media to study and make their researches.

He also made a passionate appeal to the government and stakeholders to come to the aid of the school to complete ongoing classroom projects to help them admit more students.

According to him,the school currently has one school bus to facilitate the transportation of the trainee nurses to carry out their clinical and other academic-related activities outside the campus.

He thus called on government and corporate Ghana to come to the aid of the school by providing a befitting school bus.
