It is no longer a doubt that, Teenage Pregnancy is on the rise in Ghana. In every year some young girls between the ages of 10 and 18 get pregnant and this situation has been having negative impacts in their lives and that of the nation as well.
This persistent and unfortunate incidents occuring in our societies have made one of Ghana’s chiefs to add his voice to it.
Last night on Kessben TV during the Breaking News period called the Chief of Njua to find out the situation in his town.
The chief, Nana Ano-Krang II was very disheartening to talk about the issue because things seems to be out of hand in his community. He said that, young girls continue to get pregnant almost every time and this is having consequences in the community.
He said most of these girls drop out of school because of shame. He blamed the young men and boys in the community. He said that, most of the boys uses what he called ‘forgirls’ to persuade girls and have their way these girls.
