The Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya North, Hon. Frank Yeboah, has fulfilled one of his key campaign promises by launching the ‘Parliament at Your Doorstep’ initiative at Asuofua, just seven months after taking office. This milestone marks a significant step toward strengthening the bond between the MP and his constituents through increased accessibility and engagement.

The ‘Parliament at Your Doorstep’ initiative is designed to bring parliamentary representation closer to the people of Atwima Nwabiagya North by providing a direct, accessible, and permanent platform where constituents can present their concerns, propose developmental ideas, and engage with their MP without the need to travel long distances or wait for formal parliamentary sessions.

At the launch event, Hon. Frank Yeboah reiterated his commitment to transparent and responsive leadership. He emphasized that the essence of parliamentary work transcends the walls of Parliament in Accra and that it is fundamentally about representing the voices, challenges, and aspirations of the people back home. “Parliament is not just about laws passed in Accra. It is about the voices of our people, their challenges, and their dreams. This initiative ensures that your voices are heard right here in Asuofua. It is your space to be heard, and I am here to listen and act,” Hon. Yeboah stated.

The launch drew a wide cross-section of stakeholders including traditional authorities, assembly members, political party executives, religious leaders, youth groups, and residents from across the constituency. The atmosphere was lively, reflecting the community’s enthusiasm and hope that the initiative would serve as a catalyst for tangible development and improved governance.

During the proceedings, constituents raised several pressing issues, including the need for better road infrastructure, improvements in educational facilities, enhanced healthcare services, and job creation for the youth. Hon. Yeboah assured attendees that these concerns would be prioritized and actively pursued through collaborations with relevant government agencies and development partners.

Nana Afua Serwaa Kobi, the Queen Mother of Asuofua, praised the MP’s initiative as a forward-thinking approach to leadership. She urged constituents to take full advantage of the new platform, encouraging active participation to ensure that the collective voice of the people shapes the constituency’s development agenda. “This platform belongs to every man, woman, and child in Atwima Nwabiagya North. Let us come together, use this office wisely, and work hand in hand with Hon. Frank Yeboah to bring growth and progress to our communities,” Nana Afua Serwaa Kobi said.

As part of the ‘Parliament at Your Doorstep’ programme, the MP’s office will organize regular community engagements, town hall meetings, and targeted consultations with various groups within the constituency. These engagements are designed to facilitate two-way communication, allowing the MP to inform constituents about parliamentary activities and government policies while simultaneously gathering feedback and addressing local concerns.

Hon. Yeboah concluded the event by reaffirming his open-door governance philosophy and his dedication to inclusive development. He assured the people of Atwima Nwabiagya North that their voices would continue to shape his work in Parliament and that the new initiative would ensure greater transparency, accountability, and collaborative problem-solving.

The successful launch of the ‘Parliament at Your Doorstep’ initiative signals a new era of grassroots parliamentary engagement in Atwima Nwabiagya North and sets a benchmark for other constituencies seeking to enhance the quality of representation and community involvement in governance.
