Ghana has been known for great display of football and great players as well. This includes the lives of Abedi Pele, Sammy Kufuor, Asamoah Gyan and other legends.
As usual, FIFA has categories based on age and gender for which national teams are group or classifieds to represent their countries in different competitions. In there, we have U-17, The senior squad and the likes.
Reporting from citi sports via their official twitter page, Ghana’s U-17 women’s side have suffered a ban after a Moroccan protest that Nancy Amoh and Rasheeda Shahadu falsified their birthdate information and are above seventeen years. This was as a result of the loss they suffered to Ghana in the qualifiers. The GFA was given time to provide a statement to defend the protest but did not do so hence the ban was implemented.
It involved a two edition absolute ban from the competition and a fine of $100,000 by the Confederation of African Football. This will see Ghana bow out of this historic event for two editions in a row for which they as well failed to go through this year.
Thanks for your time and have a nice day!
