Pro LGBTQ Activist Called To Threatened Me; Told Me I Was a Funny Person – Speaker Reveals

The speaker of parliament, Alban Sumani Bagbin has revealed that he has been called by a popular LGBTQ activist for his stand on the bill.

It would be recalled that the member of parliament for Ningo Prampram Constituency, Hon Samuel Nartey George submitted a private member bill to criminalised the activities of LGBTQ++ in Ghana.

The speaker in parliament said it was a good bill and all must come together to pass the bill. After his statement, a lot of people concluded that he has almost consented to the bill.

According to Alban Sumani Bagbin, a pro LGBTQ user who goes by name Mo called him to threatened him and referred him as funny. He said he will continue to be funny person to make sure that the right thing is done because Ghanians have spoken with one voice

“We have come together as a nation to make this work, to promote the culture and morals of Ghanaians. I represent Ghanaians and what they say they want, cannot be denied from them. One of the pro LGBTQ activists called to threaten me about the bill. He called me funny person. I will continue to be funny to ensure that the right thing is done…” He said.
