PREZ AKUFFO ADDO HAS REVIVE THE TVET EDUCATION

The KNUST Lecture and Ashanti Regional Organiser of NPP Mr Francis Adomako has praised President Akuffo Addo for making massive financial investments in ensuring the proliferation of TVET education across the country.

Mr Adomako said in 2021 prez Akuffo Addo add TVET education to Free SHS education policy to raise the standard of TVET education to help those have talent. He made this statement at the International women’s day celebration organize by Ghana TVET Service Ashanti Regional Directorate for students at Amankwatia M/A school in the Asokwa municipal of the Ashanti Region

The Regional Director Ghana TVET Service Ashanti Region Mr Richard Addo Gyamfi said they want to empower woman to choose TVET, now TVET is part of Free education policy.

Mr Addo Gyamfi used the opportunity to encourage female student to take advantage of free TVET and obtain employable skills, because education is the key for national development, and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is the master key to nation’s development and it reduce unemployment


The Project Officer World University Service of Canada Mrs Harriet Nyarko Anim said TVET is crucial to the social economic development of a nation. It provides training opportunities and career advancement avenues for the youth as well as providing skilled manpower that is needed at all levels of the economy.

The TVET is an instrument for sustainable development, She edged that Gender biases about the definition of women and men’s work affect young woman’s choices of career path. Prevailing gender norms dictate women’s participation in trades/occupation that are considered as suitable or complementary with their reproductive roles.

Final Mrs Harriet Nyarko Anim Appeal to students, teachers, parents and the government to support female with assignments and practicals, Do not tease them when they fumble, Use encouraging words to boost their confidence level and stop the harassment.
