President nominee for Sekyere Afram plains district of Ashanti region, Mr Hamidu Sulemana has secures 14 votes out of 15 assembly members presence and voting representing 93.33%.
Mr Hamidu Sulemana till his appointment as DCE was the constituncy chairman of the new patriotic party for Sekyere Afram plains constituency.
In his acceptance speech, Mr Hamidu Sulemana expressed gratitude to president Akuffo Addo and all stakeholders who supported his appointment and asked for cooperation from traditional authorities, assembly members and individuals citizens to enable him execute more developmental projects in the district.
One of the aspirants who was part of the contest and doubles as the general Secretary of a group known as Collation of MMDCES Aspirants (COMAS), George Akom pledged his support for the Dce and asked him to always cooperate effectively with those who compete with him to share ideas towards development.
The chief of Drobonso, Nana Dwamerah Dankwah Dwubinsiaw II, urged the DCE to double his efforts towards developmental projects in the district and asked the assembly members to support the Dce with their knowledge and commitment.
