Atwima Nwabiagya Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti region has finally re confirmed government nominee Hon Michael Amoah Awuku as MCE.
In their first meeting held last week, the gov,t nominee fails to secured the 2/3 of the 31 votes which was 21 as 19 voted YES and 12 voted NO which calls for the second re confirmation date after 10 days.
In the second meeting today led by Hon John Hawkson Anane (Presiding Member),
Mr I.K. Acheampong ( Atwima Nwabiagya Municipal Co-ordinating Director), Hon Kwabena Senkyiren
Ashanti Regional Minister REP& Ashanti Regional NADMO Director,
Hon Benito Owusu Bio ( Dep Min of Lands & MP for Atwima Nwabiagya North Constituency) , Nananom and other dignitaries were present
The total number eligible for voting was 31
23 voted YES representing 74.19% whiles 8 voted NO representing 25.80%
After the re confirmation MCE maintained Hon Michael Amoah Awuku expressed gratitude to the Almighty God, H.E.President Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo and gallant Assembly Members for the support as together with the stakeholders would build Atwima Nwabiagya Municipal and spoke with Otec fm Benjamin Kwarteng
Hon Kwabena Senkyiren ( Ashanti Regional Minister REP) was grateful to the Assembly Members saying no time for development and wish them the best as well.
Finally spoke with Hon John Hawkson Anane ( Presiding Member,some of the Assembly Members and party executives as were elated of the confirmation and assured their willingness to support the development agenda of the Atwima Nwabiagya Municipality.
