President John Dramani Mahama has engaged citizens in the Bono Region as part of his ongoing “Resetting Ghana” tour, highlighting key policy directions, government projects, and the administration’s commitment to accountability and inclusive development.

Addressing a cross-section of stakeholders, including traditional leaders, district officials, and youth groups, President Mahama expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded to him and his team. He emphasized that the tour is a deliberate initiative aimed at reporting back to Ghanaians and assessing progress on critical national projects across the region.

During his address, the President drew attention to ongoing infrastructure developments, including the Jinijini–Sampa Road, and educational investments such as GETFund-supported projects at Sunyani Senior High School. He further highlighted the government’s rollout of 24-hour economy markets in various districts, aimed at boosting local commerce and creating jobs for residents.

President Mahama also outlined reforms designed to enhance development financing, including increased allocations to the GETFund, the National Health Insurance Scheme, and District Assemblies. He commended Cassiel Ato Forson for his prudent management of the nation’s economy, noting that flagship programmes under the “Big Push” agenda are being fully funded through government resources to ensure sustainable national growth.

Addressing youth empowerment, the President encouraged young Ghanaians to pursue entrepreneurship and acquire marketable skills. He highlighted initiatives such as Adwumawura and the National Apprenticeship Programme, urging the youth to seize emerging opportunities to become self-reliant and contribute meaningfully to national development.

In concluding remarks, President Mahama called for a collective effort among citizens, government officials, and community stakeholders to build a stronger, more resilient, and inclusive Ghana, emphasizing that national progress is a shared responsibility.
