Police officer shoots himself to death

A police officer on Wednesday evening shot himself to death at his rented house at Soche Township in Blantyre.

The police officer has been identified as Sgt. Limbani Chanza.

Limbe Police Officer-In Charge Gladson Chipumphula has confirmed of the development but refused to diverge more details on the matter.

Inside sources indicate that the police officer has taken his own life over unsettled debt.

The body of Chanza is currently at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH).
