A pro NPP identifiable group known as Asanteman Nkosuo in the Ashanti region have expressed their sad concern about the comments made by the Executive Secretary secretary of the National Identification Authority (NIA) Prof Ken Attafuah
regarding the employment of politically biased persons at the Authority.
Chairman of the group Mohammed Issah Ababio asserted that before the NIA boss was defined, it took the former President of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor to appoint him, a decision they believe was part of the ‘preferential treatment to party people’ the NIA boss is against today.

Speaking at a press conference organized on Monday, June 14, 2021, at the Children’s Park in the Ashanti region.
“We want to advise the NIA boss, Professor Attafuah to tread cautiously and be very mindful of his utterances, publicly, because even that Biblical great and wise king selected those he trusted and could work with at sensitive positions in his government, although the bigger the picture was to serve the interests of all Israel.

“Moreover, we all seem to be bashing the NIA boss but our observation as a group is that most ministers and CEOs are also culpable of this same attitude.”
Chairman Mohammed Issah Ababio made passionate appealed to the president Akuffo Addo to do diligence in selecting MMDCES .
“Although MMDCEs represent the President in the various districts, and communities, but most of them have lost touch with the grassroots, because of their conduct, and attitudes,” he revealed.
“So bringing them back without consulting grassroots people may result in bitterness, and in the long run, voter apathy, which may not go well for us to make the slogan, break the eighth, a reality.”
The group further commended President Akufo Addo’s inventive tree planting exercise and called for its sustenance.
“This is a very laudable initiative from our president, but we only advise that serious attention is paid to the sustenance and maintenance of the laudable initiative,” he praised.
They took the opportunity to plant a tree as a gesture to commend the president.
